CVE-2024-31574Public exploit

Browser script execution via unsanitized background setting

Published Apr 25, 2024 · Updated Oct 30, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in TWCMS 2.6 allows local users to execute script code in another user's browser through a crafted background setting. The basic-settings background field accepts a script payload without effective neutralization and persists it for rendering on the homepage. Exploitation requires changing that setting and user interaction to load the homepage, after which the script runs in the page's browser context.
