Out-of-bounds memory read via unscanned code pointer
Published Apr 6, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in V8 in Google Chrome before 123.0.6312.105 allows remote attackers to access memory via crafted HTML. WasmInternalFunction failed to explicitly scan its code pointer during garbage collection after the field changed to a code pointer. A user must load attacker-controlled HTML; the access occurs through WebAssembly garbage collection, and public evidence does not establish sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
