CVE-2024-31556Network attack vector

Session hijacking via reusable logout cookie

Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Insufficient session expiration in Reportico PHP Report Designer 8.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to reuse logged-out sessions. The logout path leaves the existing session cookie valid, so a captured cookie continues to authorize requests after the account holder signs out. Possession of another user's cookie is required and grants that user's application access, including reading sensitive report data and performing authorized actions.
