Stored XSS via unsanitized record parameters
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Computer Laboratory Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through crafted record fields. The save_record action in classes/Master.php accepts remarks, borrower_name, and faculty_department POST values without sanitizing embedded HTML or script content before storage. Execution requires a user to view the saved record, exposing browser-accessible data and allowing page-content changes in that user's session.
