Unauthenticated service interruption via PAPI requests
Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Jun 24, 2025
Denial of service in the PAPI-accessible CLI service in HPE ArubaOS 10 and InstantOS allows remote attackers to interrupt the service. HPE has not disclosed the malformed PAPI input or the CLI service operation that fails when processing it. No authentication or user interaction is required; reachability requires access to UDP port 8211, and the reported consequence is limited to interruption of the affected service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.4.0.0 <=10.4.1.0
- Affected versionversion=10.5.0.0 <=10.5.1.0
