Authenticated code execution via unescaped object properties
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
Eval injection in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote authenticated users with page-edit rights to execute server code. SearchSuggestSourceSheet inserts XWiki.SearchSuggestSourceClass property values into XWiki 2.1 rendering without escaping, so crafted macro syntax is evaluated. An account with edit rights on any page can add the object and invoke the sheet, causing code to run with server privileges and exposing the entire installation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
