CVE-2024-31459Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via database-derived include path

Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2025

File inclusion in Cacti before 1.2.27 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via crafted plugin-hook database values. The api_plugin_hook() function uses plugin_hooks and plugin_config values to build an include path without rejecting directory traversal. Exploitation requires administrator-level access to inject database rows, place PHP code in a readable file such as a log, and trigger the affected hook.
