Unauthorized HTML generation via forged administrator request
Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in DedeCMS 5.7 allows remote attackers to invoke administrative HTML generation through a victim's browser. The makehtml_js_action.php endpoint accepts attacker-chosen typeid, templet, and uptype values from a cross-origin form without a request-bound anti-CSRF value. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit the form, which changes generated site content with no reported data disclosure or service interruption.
