Session persistence via incomplete Store API logout
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Insufficient session expiration in Shopware 6 allows remote attackers to retain authenticated Store API access after logout. LogoutRoute clears the cart but does not clear customerId from the persisted sales-channel context, leaving the context token bound to the customer. Only direct Store API clients are exposed; the PHP Storefront handles CustomerLogoutEvent separately, while reuse of the stale token preserves customer-session authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
