Stored XSS via unescaped data-query name
Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stored XSS in Cacti before 1.2.27 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through a data-query name. form_save() stores a controllable snmp_query.name value, and grow_right_pane_tree() inserts it into HTML without escaping. A low-privileged account can plant the value, but another authenticated user must open the crafted graph-tree request; the script runs with that viewer's web-session authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
