Configuration disclosure and tampering via exposed encryption keys
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Cleartext key storage in Eaton Foreseer before 7.8.500 allows local users to decrypt and alter external-server configurations. Foreseer keeps the keys that protect network- and user-management server settings insecurely on the host instead of separating them from the encrypted configuration. High-privilege access to the Windows host is required; exposure grants confidentiality and integrity access to server settings and can interrupt configured integrations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
