Service interruption via crafted-mail resource exhaustion
Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Resource exhaustion in Cybozu Garoon 5.0.0 through 5.15.2 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a crafted email. The Mail component continues a resource-consuming loop while processing the message; Cybozu withholds the triggering details and reproduction steps. The attack requires delivery and processing of attacker-supplied mail plus user interaction, and the documented result can make Garoon inaccessible.
