Service interruption via unverified cross-origin API requests
Published Apr 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
CSRF in Mudler LocalAI 2.7.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt service through resource-intensive API requests. The web server accepts simple browser-compatible request content types without a CSRF token or another origin-verification control. Exploitation requires a LocalAI user to visit an attacker-controlled webpage, but the attacker needs no direct network path to the instance.
