Missing authorization in Android 12, 12L, 13, and 14 allows local users to pair companion devices and escalate privileges. CompanionDeviceManagerService directly handles CDM shell commands through onShellCommand, bypassing Binder's caller-permission enforcement and user acceptance. The caller needs local low-privileged execution; no user interaction is required, and unauthorized pairing grants elevated device access.
