Lock-screen media disclosure via ignored notification setting
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Information disclosure in Android Framework 12, 12L, 13, and 14 allows local users to view played media on a locked device. SystemUI's media carousel remains visible outside the keyguard layout when lock-screen notifications are disabled because visibility does not consistently follow that setting. A local user needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction, and the exposed content is limited to media playback information.
