Stored XSS via forged administrator requests
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Tomas Tooltips for WordPress 9.5.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to store cross-site scripting payloads. Several state-changing plugin functions omit or incorrectly perform WordPress nonce validation, so forged requests run through an administrator's authenticated session. Exploitation requires an administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, after which the stored script executes in affected site users' browsers.
