CVE-2024-31206Network attack vector

Traffic disclosure and modification via cleartext API requests

Published Apr 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024

Cleartext transmission in dectalk-tts 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to intercept and modify text-to-speech API traffic. The exported dectalk function creates the third-party API URL with the HTTP scheme and encodes caller-supplied text in the query string. Network-path access is required; interception exposes submitted text and permits replacement of returned WAV data.
