Service interruption via group-reply parser over-read
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in ONF libfluid 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt services through a crafted OpenFlow group reply. MultipartReplyGroup::unpack parses OpenFlow 1.3 group-reply data, but the published advisory does not identify the missing bounds check or exact over-read operation. Unauthenticated network access to a component that invokes this parser is required, and the reported consequence is a denial-of-service condition.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
