Controller service interruption via OpenFlow message overread
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Open Networking Foundation libfluid 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt controller service. TableFeaturePropNextTables::unpack reads past the supplied OpenFlow table-feature message buffer while decoding next-table identifiers. Unauthenticated network access to a controller or driver that integrates the module is sufficient to trigger a denial-of-service condition.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
