Service interruption via unchecked parser return
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in Open Networking Foundation libfluid 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt an OpenFlow controller service. The fluid_msg::of13::TablePropertiesList::unpack routine fails to check a return value before dereferencing a null pointer while parsing OpenFlow 1.3 table-property data. A network path to a controller that passes attacker-supplied wire-format messages into this routine is required, and the resulting failure causes denial of service without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
