Service interruption via version-bitmap out-of-bounds read
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in libfluid_msg 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt an OpenFlow component via a crafted Hello message. HelloElemVersionBitmap::unpack reads past the supplied OpenFlow 1.3 version-bitmap buffer while unmarshalling a Hello element; Nozomi has not published the specific missing bounds check or triggering bitmap values. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exposure exists when a controller or driver using the library parses untrusted OpenFlow traffic, with reported impact limited to information exposure and service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
