Server slowdown via inefficient invalid-commit parsing

Regular-expression denial of service in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to interrupt server processing by submitting invalid commits. The commit-parsing logic evaluates malformed, attacker-controlled commit data with an inefficient regular expression, causing excessive resource consumption; GitLab has not disclosed the specific function or pattern.
