CVE-2024-31136Network attack vector

2FA bypass via special URL parameter

Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in JetBrains TeamCity before 2024.03 allows remote attackers to bypass two-factor authentication via a URL parameter. The authentication flow accepts a special URL parameter without enforcing the configured second-factor check; JetBrains has not disclosed the parameter or affected code path. The bypass applies when 2FA protects an account and permits access without the second factor, with no reported ability to interrupt the server.
