Administrator file upload via missing type validation
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in BestWebSoft Quotes and Tips before 1.45 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to write server files. The save_options() function accepts custom background image uploads without validating the submitted file type before storing the file. Administrator access is required; the flaw bypasses restrictions such as multisite file-type controls and permits attacker-chosen content on the server.
