Administrator-level arbitrary file upload via missing validation
Published Mar 31, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in biplob018 Shortcode Addons 3.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place executable files. The upload path lacks file-type validation; a public exploit packages a PHP shell in a ZIP archive and places it under wp-content/uploads/shortcode-addons. Administrator access is required, and executing the deposited PHP file runs commands with the web server's privileges.
