Admin database read and write via order_by injection
Published Apr 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in WPMU DEV Forminator before 1.29.3 allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to read or alter database data. The Forminator_Form_Entry_Model::get_filter_entries path insufficiently escapes the order_by value and places it into an inadequately prepared SQL query. Administrator-level access is required; injected queries can disclose or modify database contents and cause a service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
