CVE-2024-31062Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator account takeover via stored Street-field script

Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stored XSS in SourceCodester Insurance Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute browser scripts via the Street input. The new-account handler stores the submitted street value without neutralizing embedded HTML event-handler code, and the users view renders that value so the browser executes it. Account creation is unauthenticated, but an administrator must open the affected users view; script access to the administrator session enables account takeover.
