Administrator browser script execution via unescaped chpos reflection
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Reflected XSS in FUDforum 3.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the chpos parameter in admsmiley.php. The administration page inserts chpos into its HTML response without output encoding, so a script-bearing value executes. Exploitation requires an administrator to be signed in and open the crafted URL; resulting script runs in that administrative web context.
