Backdoored liblzma in XZ Utils 5.6.0 and 5.6.1 allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted SSH authentication data. The release-tarball build macro extracts a disguised object, replaces liblzma IFUNC resolvers, and redirects RSA_public_decrypt to attacker-controlled code. Activation requires an x86-64 Linux package build using GCC and GNU ld, plus an sshd integration that reaches liblzma through systemd.
