Authenticated script execution via unescaped navigation parameters
Published Apr 18, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Cross-site scripting in DerbyNet 9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through photo-thumbs.php. The page builds a navigation URL by concatenating the racerid and back query parameters without encoding, then writes it into an anchor href attribute. A victim must click the attacker-crafted navigation link, after which the injected script runs in that victim's DerbyNet browser session.
