Authenticated script execution via unencoded order parameter
Published Apr 18, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Cross-site scripting in DerbyNet 9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through checkin.php. The page embeds the order URL parameter directly in the single-quoted g_order JavaScript assignment without context-specific encoding, permitting quote or script-tag breakout. Exploitation requires a crafted URL to be opened in an authenticated DerbyNet session, after which the injected script runs in that session's browser context.
