Operator token disclosure via authorization listing
Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Authorization exposure in InfluxDB OSS 2.x through 2.7.11 allows remote authenticated users to retrieve an operator token. The default organization stores the administrative operator token, and its authorization resource returns the raw token to same-organization users with read access. An allAccess token in that organization and API or CLI reachability are required; the recovered token grants unrestricted instance access.
