Browser script execution via unescaped referer
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
Reflected XSS in HadSky 7.6.3 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in a user's browser through a crafted chklogin.php request. The phpscript/chklogin.php handler returns the unescaped referer parameter directly in its response, allowing injected HTML or JavaScript to execute. Exploitation requires a user to load the crafted request, after which the script can read accessible session data or alter page content in that browser context.
