Victim-browser script execution via unescaped primarybegin
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in CodersClub Discuz!ML 3.4_20220811 allows remote attackers to run scripts in a victim's browser via primarybegin. The misc.php statistics path passes primarybegin through include/misc/misc_stat.php into template/default/home/misc_stat.htm without validation or output encoding. Exploitation requires the correct victim formhash and browser rendering of a crafted request; successful script runs in the site's origin and can read accessible session data.
