Administrator script execution via unfiltered boxId
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Oct 27, 2024
Reflected XSS in RageFrame2 2.6.43 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser through a crafted crop URL. The backend image-cropping endpoint embeds the unfiltered boxId query value in its response, allowing injected script markup to execute. An administrator must follow the attacker-supplied link; successful execution exposes browser-accessible data and permits actions within the active session.
