Database credential disclosure via unsanitized GroupId
Published Apr 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
SQL injection in Netentsec NS-ASG Application Security Gateway 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through GroupId. The export_excel_user.php endpoint treats the GroupId query value as SQL syntax, enabling an error-based extractvalue expression to select administrator names and passwords. Access to the administrative endpoint with low privileges is required; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of stored administrator credentials.
