Unauthenticated credential disclosure via FireWallId SQL injection
Published Apr 1, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
SQL injection in Netentsec NS-ASG 6.3 allows remote attackers to read administrator credentials through edit_fire_wall.php. The endpoint uses the FireWallId query parameter in a database expression, permitting an EXTRACTVALUE payload to select administrator names and password values. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of gateway administrator credentials.
