Unauthenticated file disclosure via unsanitized readfile path
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Path traversal in the codesiddhant Jasmin Ransomware 1.0.1 web panel allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files without authentication. The download_file.php endpoint redirects unauthenticated requests but continues execution, then passes the file query parameter directly to readfile without path validation. Network access to the exposed PHP web panel is sufficient; disclosed files can include operator identity data and stored decryption keys.
