CVE-2024-3076Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via forged administrator settings request

Published Apr 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 20, 2024

Stored XSS in MM-email2image 0 through 0.2.5 allows remote attackers to inject scripts by inducing an administrator to submit a forged request. The settings handler accepts a forged POST containing an mm_e2i_textcolor payload without CSRF validation, sanitization, or output escaping. An administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML while authenticated; the stored script then executes when the affected output is viewed.
