SMTP credential disclosure via populated password field
Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information exposure in Easy WP SMTP 2.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read the SMTP password via its settings page. The Other SMTP settings page repopulates the SMTP Password input with the stored credential instead of a non-secret placeholder. Administrator-level access and a configured Other SMTP mailer are required; exposure is limited to that server credential.
