Forged social-wall posts via misplaced CSRF protection
Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
CSRF in Chamilo LMS 1.11.0 through 1.11.28 allows remote attackers to post content to an authenticated user's social wall. The social wall form applies FormValidator protection only in displayWallForm after getWallForm returns, so home.php accepts a forged POST without a valid protect_token. The victim must be signed in and visit an attacker-controlled page, and successful exploitation creates an unauthorized wall post under that user's session.
