Unauthenticated router crash via oversized parental-control URL
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1203 firmware 2.0.1.6 allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to crash the router. The saveParentControlInfo handler processes an oversized urls parameter from /goform/saveParentControlInfo and overwrites a stack buffer; the public record does not identify the unsafe copy routine. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is a denial-of-service crash without reported data disclosure or modification.
