Authenticated router crash via unbounded time parsing
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1203 firmware 2.0.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router through its web interface. In saveParentControlInfo, unrestricted %[^-] and %s conversions parse the time field into two 32-byte stack arrays without width limits. The published request carries an administrator cookie and demonstrates denial of service; no source establishes code execution.
