Memory corruption via oversized parental-control time parameter
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1202 firmware 1.2.0.14(408) allows adjacent attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted time value. The saveParentControlInfo handler processes the parental-control time parameter without enforcing a safe length, causing data to overwrite its stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation can compromise the router's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
