Memory corruption via oversized parental-control URL
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda FH1202 Firmware 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted urls parameter. The saveParentControlInfo web handler fails to enforce the destination capacity before storing attacker-controlled parental-control URL data, allowing the value to overrun a stack buffer. Unauthenticated network access to the handler is sufficient; the public record does not establish a specific post-corruption outcome.
