Unauthenticated code execution via security parameter overflow
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stack overflow in Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the router via a crafted security value. The formWifiBasicSet handler copies the security parameter into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing the destination length. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation can disclose or alter data, execute code, or interrupt routing.
