Admin-authenticated object injection via unvalidated PHAR path
Published Apr 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHAR deserialization in WPvivid Backup & Migration Plugin 0.9.99 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to invoke PHP objects. The wpvividstg_get_custom_exclude_path_free action accepts tree_node[node][id] without sufficient path validation, permitting a PHAR wrapper to deserialize metadata. Exploitation requires Administrator-level access and a separate plugin or theme with a usable POP chain; resulting effects include file deletion, sensitive-data retrieval, or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
