Unauthenticated database disclosure via unescaped search parameter
Published Mar 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
SQL injection in Metagauss ProfileGrid 5.7.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to extract database data through unauthenticated requests. The plugin passes the user-supplied search parameter into an existing SQL query without sufficient escaping or prepared-query handling. Exploitation requires only network access to the WordPress AJAX endpoint, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized database reads.
