Subscriber-level code execution via unchecked plugin installation
Published Jun 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Daman Jeet Finale Lite 2.18.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to install and activate plugins. The xl_addon_installation AJAX action accepts a plugin slug and file while omitting the WordPress capability check required for plugin management. Subscriber-level access and a nonce exposed on the xl-payments admin page are sufficient, and an attacker-controlled plugin can execute server-side code.
