Administrator-level script execution via unescaped generated URLs
Published Apr 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 20, 2024
Reflected XSS in Weblid Bannerlid 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via crafted URLs. The plugin places generated URL values into HTML attributes without escaping them, so attacker-controlled markup returns to the browser as executable content. The published CISA assessment models administrator-level access as the gate, with script execution limited to the affected WordPress page's browser context.
